How Does it Work?

Stories of someone who is alive because of the quick action of First Responders are common--first responders who called an Air Ambulance to transport a critically ill or injured patient to the hospital.  Then, weeks later, that patient or family received a bill from the Air Ambulance Company for the portion of the bill not covered by insurance.  Most health insurance carriers will only pay a portion of the Air Ambulance transport bill and, in most cases, the patient is responsible to cover the remaining costs out-of-pocket.  

With a Trans Aero MedEvac Membership, this problem will not occur.  A yearly membership assures that covered members will not be responsible for any out-of-pocket expenses.

Q: What is the cost of the program? 
A: $50 for an individual and $50 for a family.

Q: Why should I join, doesn't my health insurance cover air medical transport?
A: Most health insurance plans only pay a portion of the cost, leaving you to pay the rest. The membership program helps protect you and your family during your time of need. 

Q: Is there a limit to the number of flights?
A: As long as your membership is current there is no limit on the number of flights. 

Q: Why is this membership so inexpensive yet it covers the cost of a flight?
A: The membership alone does not cover the cost of a flight. Your health insurance will also be billed. The membership covers the approved out of pocket expenses that is unpaid by your health insurance. 

Q: Can I join if I don't have health insurance?
A: The program requires that you have health insurance to participate. Medicaid patients also may not participate due to state Medicaid rules.
